Purcellville cleanup

March 16 @ 9:00 am 12:00 pm

The Keep Loudoun Beautiful Purcellville Trash Clean-Up is back! There will be one cleanup date with 2 time slots.

The cleanup will be held Saturday, March 16,  9am – noon and 1 pm – 4 pm.

We will assign you an area within the Town of Purcellville that your group will be responsible for cleaning. If you have particular requests regarding your preferred area, based on age of group members, transportation restrictions, etc., we will certainly work with you to honor those requests as closely as possible. At your chosen time, your group will travel to your designated area and pick up all the trash you can find. As you fill trash bags, you will leave them beside the road for pick up. Once you finish your area (it should take only an hour or two), you’re free to leave! Unless of course you’d like to help more, in which case we will be more than happy to direct you to additional areas that could benefit from trash cleanup!!

If you are interested in signing up to help with this year’s cleanup, please use signupgenius

with your preferred time and respond to this message with the following information:

  • Contact name, email address, and phone number (phone number optional)
  • Organization name, if applicable
  • Expected number of volunteers, age of volunteers
  • Preferred Date and Time for your cleanup
  • Any information I should know about your group: location requests (due to age/transportation), if you will need to pick up any materials ahead of time, etc.

Volunteers will meet on the date of their cleanup in front of the Purcellville Town Hall to collect necessary supplies and listen to a quick introduction. If your group is large, or transportation to the Town Hall will be a problem, you are welcome to send a single group representative to collect your group’s supplies, or coordinate with me to pick up supplies ahead of time. We will provide you with trash bags and safety vests (if you’re on a road), but you will need to bring your own gloves (I’d recommend work or gardening gloves), and wear long pants and closed-toe shoes.
