Lovettsville town cleanup
April 27 @ 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Join the town of Lovettsville for their annual spring cleanup.
Come out, roll up your sleeves, and help make a difference! Join the Town of Lovettsville on Sunday, April 27th, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM, on the Town Green, 11 Spring Farm Drive, Lovettsville, for an afternoon of making a difference in the community to beautify our shared spaces and promote environmental responsibility.
Follow the SignUpGenius link below to register so the Town of Lovettsville can ensure there will be enough gloves and safety vests for all volunteers! Together, we can make a significant impact within the community!
The Town of Lovettsville would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to each of you for volunteering for our upcoming Keep Loudoun Beautiful – Town of Lovettsville Community Clean-Up event! This is a wonderful opportunity to help beautify our community ahead of Mayfest (May 17, 2025) and other spring and summer events. Your commitment to keeping Lovettsville beautiful and sustainable is truly inspiring!
To ensure that everyone has a positive and safe experience, we would like to review a few important procedures and guidelines.
Please note: We will have maps of public areas available at check-in. Some areas will be designated “kid-friendly,” while others, due to higher traffic, will be assigned to adults only.
Safety Guidelines:
• Please wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy, closed-toe shoes. We recommend pants and long sleeves to protect against scratches or irritants.
• All participants must wear safety vests at all times while in roadway areas.
• Bring and wear protective gloves (gardening gloves are preferred for better protection against sharp objects).
• Stay hydrated throughout the event.
• Apply sunscreen and consider wearing a hat for sun protection.
• Stay with your assigned group for safety and efficiency.
• Avoid standing on the roadway, especially along Berlin Turnpike.
• Place collected litter bags 5–10 feet off the edge of the pavement — where they are visible but do not pose a hazard to traffic.
• If you encounter any item that looks dangerous or poses a health or safety concern, do not handle it. Please contact Sarah Moseley at 571-509-9694 so arrangements can be made for safe removal.
• If you find a tire, please leave it in place and notify Sarah Moseley for collection.
• When finished with your area (or no later than 4:00 p.m.), please return your safety vests, trash grabbers, and any unused trash bags to the Town table at Walker Pavilion on the Town Green.
Reporting:
At the end of your clean-up, please be prepared to provide Town Staff with a brief summary of your efforts — including the number of bags collected. This information will assist Keep Loudoun Beautiful with tracking community impact.
Volunteer Hours and Scout Patches:
If you need verification of your volunteer hours or would like to request a Keep Loudoun Beautiful Scout Patch, please see Sarah Moseley at the Town Green after the event.
Your safety and well-being are our top priorities. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns prior to the event.
Thank you again for your dedication and community spirit. We look forward to seeing you this Sunday, April 27, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. on the Town Green!
